YEAR END AWARD POINT SYSTEM Revised
1. In order to be eligible for NAA year end awards:
Ø The owner of any potentially eligible horse must be an NAA member in good standing as of the last day of the current year’s NAA Classic Appaloosa Horse Show. Nonpro and Youth exhibitors must be members as of the last day of the current year’s NAA Classic Appaloosa Horse Show. Ø If the horse is jointly owned; at least one owner must be an NAA member in good standing. Ø To be eligible for year end awards; members must enter at least one class at the NAA Classic Appaloosa Show, OR must be |

actively involved as a staff or volunteer worker in the running of the NAA Classic Appaloosa Show.
2.. Shows pointed will be all ApHC pointed shows in New York State including: Ø NYS Horse Breeders Assn. Ø NAA Classic Ø LCAC Show Ø EAA Classic Ø NYS Fair Ø WNYAA Cowboy Classic
3. Points for Open and NonPro classes will be awarded by number of horses in the class with a maximum of 6 points. See Table Below
For example: If there are three horses in a class, first place earns 3 points, 2nd place earns 2 points and 3rd place earns one point but if there are 12 horses in a class, first place earns 6 points, 2nd place earns 5 points, 3rd place earns 4 points, 4th place earns 3 points, 5th place earns 2 points, and 6th place earns 1 point. Youth points will be awarded by number of horses in the class with a maximum of 8 points. See Table below.
For example, if there are three horses in a class, first place earns 3 points, 2nd place earns 2 points and 3rd place earns one point and if there are 12 horses in a class, first place earns 8 points, 2nd place earns 7 points, 3rd place earns 6 points, 4th place earns 5 points, 5th place earns 4 points, and 6th place earns 3 points, 7th place earns 2 points and 8th place earns one point. 4. Points will be calculated for each judge. Double pointed judges at State Fair will be counted accordingly. 5. Worlds Qualifications: Horses will be nominated for World Qualification in the order of rank by number of accumulated points accumulated through August 30th of the current year. 6. Year End High Points: Year end high points and reserve high points will be awarded in each class offered at the NAA classic. Recognition will be given through 6 places. |
